In the 30th minute, Lassen player #9 Ryan Hamlet was shown a yellow card for tripping an opponent behind his back in the air. When relaying the information to the West Valley coach, the assistant refereee related to me that the player had kicked the ball away approximately 30 feet after being shown the yellow card. I then gave the player a soft red (combination of yellow/red card)allowing the team to substitute the player.
